Prerequisites

The Job Execution Log form displays the details of the selected job execution log, such as the time of execution, the time of completion, and errors, if any. The Job Execution Log form is a view-only form and you cannot edit any information displayed in the form.

The following table lists the fields displayed in the Job Execution Log form:

Description

Job Definition

ID of the job

Job Internal Name

The internal name that the scheduler uses to uniquely identify the job.

Job Definition Job Type

The type of job executed, such as reporting or EDI.

Job Class

The class that implements the logic executed when N4 runs this job.

Node to Execute Job

The node on which N4 executes the job.

Scheduler Name

The name of the scheduler that executed the background job.

Scheduler Group

The name of the group, such as Reporting, that N4 used to register the job with the scheduler.

Scheduling Trigger

The trigger used to schedule the job. If a cron expression triggered the execution, N4 displays the cron expression in this field.

If you execute the job using the Actions Execute Now (once) option, N4 displays On Demand in this field.

Execution Start Time

The date and time the job execution started.

Execution End Time

The date and time the job execution ended.

Previous Execution Time

The date and time of the previous execution of this job, if any.

  • This is only available for a job triggered by a cron expression.

Next Execution Time

The date and time of the next execution of this job, if any.

  • This is only available for a job triggered by a cron expression.

Current State

The status of the job execution, such as Succeeded, Failed, In Progress.

Note

Any additional information for the job execution. For example, for a reporting job, it displays the name of the report(s) created.

  • If an exception occurs during the job execution, N4 displays the error message in the language configured in the User form (on page 1) if the user has localized the EDI properties and has configured language localization in the Resource Bundle form (on page 1).
